Bhojpur covers western Bihar, a flat agricultural belt along the Ganges basin. It is known for the Chhath festival (October–November), Bhojpuri culture and language, and a handful of historic sites. The main towns — Sasaram, Motihari, Bettiah, Chhapra — are 1–3 hours apart by bus or train. Sleeping in one and day-tripping saves the hassle of changing hotels.
