The Breede River Valley is the Western Cape's largest fruit-and-wine region, also known for race-horse breeding. Worcester is the transport hub; Robertson has more wine-tasting options. Both are 90–100 km from Cape Town. Two nights let you visit a handful of estates, see Montagu and drive Robertson Pass.
