Cape Breton is one loop and one park. The Cabot Trail is about 300 km around the island's north; driving it without stopping takes a full day, and the point is the stops. Sleep two nights on the island minimum — one in Baddeck or Ingonish, one in Chéticamp — and treat Sydney as the airport, not the sight. Without a car, the island shrinks to Sydney and a couple of tours.
