Get around
The centre is walkable in 15 minutes. Town buses 2C, 3, 3A, 3B and 3C reach the forest park; 3C and 4B go to the Česnulis sculpture park. A cable car links the aquapark to Snow Arena (adult return about €6 in 2024, check 2026). Taxis are cheap; ask the price first.

- The Belarus border is 4 km south at Švendubrė; carry your passport and check current crossing rules.
- Many spa treatments need booking a day ahead in summer.
Very safe. The real risks are the salty mineral water if you have heart or kidney problems, icy pavements in winter, and the nearby Belarus border — carry your passport.
