East Palestine
Skip unless you have a reason: half a day covers the park and the historical society, and there is no bed in town.
East Palestine is a small Ohio town of about 4,700 people in Columbiana County, on the Ohio–Pennsylvania line. Storage and preserving sheds once made it the area's leading orchard town, and its name is said "East Pal-es-teen". SR-14 bypasses it, SR-46 and SR-51 run through, and most travellers pass without stopping. What is here: a city park with trails and a pool, a historical society with an 1840 log cabin, a library, and a bar on the state line.
