Detailed entry requirements
All listed nationals are part of the EU/Schengen visa‑free regime. The 90‑day limit applies to the whole Schengen area, not per country. Overstaying triggers fines or bans.
ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) will be mandatory for visa‑free travellers from 2025. The application is online, takes minutes, and costs about €7 for adults, €3 for children 6‑17 years. Approval is usually instant but allow a day for processing.
Your passport must be machine‑readable, in good condition, and remain valid for at least three months after the date you plan to leave the Schengen zone.
If you intend to work, study longer than 90 days, or reside in Estonia, you must obtain a national visa or residence permit before arrival.
How to apply for ETIAS
Visit the official ETIAS portal (europa.eu/etias). Fill in personal details, passport data, travel itinerary and answer security questions. Pay the fee with a credit/debit card. Keep the digital authorisation on your phone or print it; border officers can verify it electronically.
- Online form – 5 min
- Fee – €7 (adults), €3 (children 6‑17)
- Validity – 3 years or until passport expires
- Multiple entries – allowed within 90‑day limit
Important notes
Check the expiry date of your passport well before travel; renewing after booking may cause delays.
If you have a criminal record, recent travel to conflict zones, or have been denied entry to any Schengen state, ETIAS may be rejected – you will need a visa.
Travel insurance covering the Schengen area is recommended and may be required for certain visa applications.
