Hanumangarh
Half a day is enough: see the 1700-year-old Bhatner Fort, walk the Ghaggar riverbank, then move on. Not a base for the region.
Hanumangarh is a small town in northwestern Rajasthan, split by the Ghaggar River into Hanumangarh Town (with the fort) and Hanumangarh Junction (the railway hub). The main draw is Bhatner Fort, one of India's oldest forts. Most travellers pass through on the way to Bikaner or Churu.
