Imphal Valley is the cultural and geographic heart of Manipur, known for the floating Loktak Lake, the world's only floating national park (Keibul Lamjao), and the traditional villages of Thanga, Andro and Moirang. The valley is compact — most sights are within an hour of Imphal — so you can sleep in one place and day-trip.
