Kingstown
Kingstown is a working port town: do the market and the cathedrals in the morning, the botanic gardens before the heat, and leave the beaches to the coast; book the ferry the day before.
Kingstown is a busy, unpolished capital that most visitors use as a gateway to the Grenadines. A first visit fits in one long day. What goes wrong is the timing: the market is best on Saturday morning, shops close early and on Sunday, ferries stop by late afternoon, and the heat builds by 10:00.
