Luanda is spread along a bay and the traffic is slow, so distances that look short on a map take an hour. Street crime, including armed robbery, is a real risk; the trips that go wrong walk after dark, take an unbooked car, or count on a foreign card. Four clusters cover a first visit; the country beyond is reached by air.
