The Mullerthal is a sandstone gorge-and-forest region in eastern Luxembourg, roughly the canton of Echternach, with Echternach as its largest town. Trails run village to village, so a single base plus buses beats moving hotels. Public transport in Luxembourg is free, which makes a car optional for the main walks.
