Noordoewer
Stop for a night if you are driving the B1 between Keetmanshoop and the South African border; otherwise skip. The Orange River rafting is the only reason to stay longer.
Noordoewer is a small settlement on the Orange River at the South African border, best known for river rafting and as a stopover on the B1 highway. It has a handful of lodges and campsites but no major sights beyond the river. Most travellers use it for a single night before crossing into South Africa or heading north to Keetmanshoop.
