Remich is a 3,000-person wine town on the left bank of the Moselle, the river that forms the Luxembourg–Germany border. The whole town is a 1 km riverfront quay with cellars, restaurants and a riverboat dock, and buses run free from Luxembourg City in about 35–40 minutes. It works as one night, or as a half-day stop paired with Schengen or Mondorf-les-Bains.

The town is walkable end to end in about 15 minutes. Bikes are the local norm: Rentabike Miselerland has rental and return stations along the Moselle.
