Siddhatek
Half a day is enough: visit the Siddhivinayak Temple, one of the eight Ashtavinayak shrines, then move on to Shirdi or Ahmednagar.
Siddhatek is a small village in Maharashtra known for the Siddhivinayak Temple, one of the eight Ashtavinayak temples. The temple is the only reason to stop here: a quick visit takes 1–2 hours. Most travellers combine it with Shirdi, Shani Shingnapur or Ahmednagar on a day trip from Pune.

Scams and watch-outs
- The temple is busy during Ganesh Jayanti, Vijayadashami and Somvati Amavasya: expect crowds and limited parking.
- Leather goods sold in the market may be of variable quality; inspect before buying.
- Monsoon (Jul–Sep) can make the Bhima River swell; check road conditions before travelling.
Siddhatek is generally safe. Watch for touts near the temple and keep valuables secure during festivals. The river crossing by boat (if used) may lack life jackets.
