Ulsan is South Korea's industrial heart, 70 km north of Busan, and most travellers pass through rather than stay. What holds a trip is outside the city core: the Yeongnam Alps around Mt Gaji, the petroglyphs at Bangudae, and the east-coast sunrise cape at Ganjeolgot. The downtown wards are for eating and sleeping, not sightseeing.

- Confirm the taxi meter is only touched at the start and end of the ride; the night surcharge applies 00:00–04:00 only.
- Ulsan City Tour buses need a reservation in advance.
