Almost everyone in Guyana lives on the flat coast, and Georgetown is its capital and the departure point for Kaieteur Falls and the interior lodges. The city is a base, not a destination for long walks: keep the visit to mornings, take taxis, and book interior flights and lodges together through an operator.
