Mbabane
Mbabane is a small hill-town capital and the head of the Ezulwini Valley: one day covers the market and Allister Miller Street, and most visitors sleep here or in the valley and use it as a base for Mlilwane and the craft markets.
Mbabane is not a sightseeing city: it is a practical base. The market, the main street and Swazi Plaza fit in half a day, and the valley's wildlife sanctuary and craft stalls are short drives away. The trips that go wrong are the road ones: the long transfer from King Mswati III International or from Johannesburg, night driving with animals on the road, and cash-only stalls. Sleep here, keep a car or driver, and plan the valley as day trips.

Walk short distances near Allister Miller Street by day; use a taxi or a hotel car between areas, especially uphill and at night. Minibus taxis are cheap but hard to read. A private car or a driver is the easiest way to see the valley.
