Bajgiran

Skip as a destination. Use only as a border crossing into Turkmenistan: 1–2 hours for formalities, then onward to Ashgabat.

Bajgiran is a tiny Iranian village at the Turkmenistan border, 75 km from Quchan and 40 km from Ashgabat. It has no public transport, one or two basic hotels, and almost nothing to see. Most travellers pass through in under an hour. Stay only if you must cross early the next morning.
