Dalaba

Dalaba is a 2-night cool-air stop in the Fouta Djallon: hike to Pont de Dieu and Ditinn Falls, see the Fulani architecture, then move on to Labé or Doucki.
Dalaba is Guinea's highest town (about 1,300 m), a quiet hill station with colonial-era villas, a Fulani meeting hall (Case à Palabres) and waterfall hikes. Two nights let you do the main walk and the Ditinn Falls day trip. It works as a break between Conakry and Labé or as a base for the wider Moyenne Guinée region.

- Africa ↗When a route touches a yellow-fever country — even a transit of 12 hours or more — keep the original yellow card (ICVP) in your hand luggage; health desks and airlines can refuse boarding or entry without it.
- Africa ↗Nine African countries on this site have no trip line because governments advise against travel; several others have no-go regions. Read your government's advice for every country on the route before paying deposits.

Safety
- Rainy season (May–Oct) makes the road to Ditinn Falls impassable for cars; check conditions locally.
- Loud music at some hotels (e.g. Hôtel de Fouta SIB) can be annoying; ask for a quiet room.
- No ATMs in Dalaba; bring enough cash (GNF) from Conakry or Labé.
