Naples is a small, wealthy Gulf-coast city in Collier County, about 30 miles south of Fort Myers airport. It is a beach-and-food stop, not a sightseeing city: a 16 km white-sand shore, the walkable Old Naples district, and the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands on the doorstep. A car makes it work; without one you are limited to the centre.

About Naples, Florida
Naples sits in Collier County in southwest Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico. It lies roughly 30 miles south of Fort Myers, where Southwest Florida International Airport is located, and about 45 to 60 minutes away by car via I-75 South. The city has around 19,000 residents (2020 census) and draws visitors with a shoreline of more than 10 miles (16 km) of white sand noted for its cleanliness. Tourism drives the economy, and retirees form a large share of the population. Its position near the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands also makes it a base for ecotourism.

- Tin City — A former fisherman's wharf on the river in Downtown Naples, now an indoor, air-conditioned collection of shops selling clothing, art and trinkets.
- Naples City Pier — A thousand-foot pier dating from the late 19th century and rebuilt several times; it was destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022, though dolphins and Gulf sunsets can still be watched from the beach.
