Panarukan

Skip Panarukan as a destination: the fort ruins and monument take 30 minutes total. Use it only as a quick stop on the north-coast road between Probolinggo and Banyuwangi.
Panarukan is a small port town at the eastern end of the historic Great Post Road. Its main draws are the scant ruins of a Dutch fort and a monument marking the road's terminus. Most travellers pass through in under an hour on the way to Banyuwangi or Baluran National Park.
