Skip Pateros as a destination unless you want balut or duck-egg dishes: a 1–2 hour stop from Makati or Taguig is enough.

Pateros is the only municipality in Metro Manila: 63,000 people on 1.76 km², surrounded by Makati and Taguig. It is known for duck raising and balut, and has no major sights beyond the Spanish-era Pateros Church, completed in 1815. Half a day is more than enough; most visitors come for a quick food stop or a tricycle ride through the narrow streets.
