Skip for tourism: entry is limited to accredited journalists, UN and aid staff, and no trip line is published — read your own government's travel advice first.

Gaza Strip is a Palestinian territory between Israel and Egypt, about 2.1 million people, with Gaza City, Khan Yunis and Rafah as its largest cities. A US-brokered ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025 and an international stabilization phase began in 2026, but local flare-ups continued through mid-2026 and over two-thirds of buildings were documented as damaged or destroyed. There is no tourist infrastructure and no published trip line: this page exists to answer the entry question, not to plan a holiday.

Safety

No trip line is published for Gaza. Most governments strongly advise against travel: food, water and medicine were critically sparse, hospitals were destroyed or overwhelmed, and if you enter you may not be able to leave. Read your own government's advice first.
  • Entry is unlikely unless you are an accredited journalist, UN or charity worker, and you will have completed in-depth risk assessments. Do not rely on a travel guide for your risk assessment.
  • Food, water and medicine were critically sparse; hospitals were destroyed or overwhelmed and power and communication limited.
  • If you enter Gaza, you may not be able to leave.
  • Check your own government's advisory before anything else: US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand all advise against travel.
